Empowering Mental Toughness

MENTAL TOUGHNESS - Give an extra 10%

There is no doubting METAFIT is a tough workout, it’s 20minutes of bodyweight hell IF you push yourself to your limit. It requires individual MENTAL TOUGHNESS to keep working at your MAX all the way to the end of every interval. It’s not easy for anyone no matter your fitness level or ability.

As a METAFIT coach I am trained to motivate you as much as possible but there is only so much they can do. In order to get the most out of every session, you need to switch off and ignore all the ‘its too hard’ voices in your head and keep pushing. That extra 5-10% that you give through your own MENTAL TOUGHNESS will make a massive difference.

Mental toughness is what separates the people that achieve they goals and those who do not. The key to mental toughness is applying consistently the traits of self motivation, positive attitude, emotional self control, and being energetic and ready for action.

Consistency is SO important. Applying these traits will lead to new levels of fitness.

Self Motivation

As a METAFIT coach I can push you so far BUT your motivation must come from within. The intensity of your workout is determined by how badly you want to perform well.

Positive, Realistic Attitude

You are not going to be able to do every exercise perfectly straight away. Metafit coaches will regress exercises accordingly and help you progress as you get stronger and improve fitness. By focusing on strengths, you gain confidence and inspiration from them. You can create your own positive attitude.

Emotional Self Control

Mentally tough people have tough skins and don’t let outside circumstances affect them. There will be many times in life that things happen outside your control. A mentally tough person keeps their emotions in check and keeps on with the goal they had in mind from the beginning. So don’t miss a session (thats in your control) you have committed to you.

When the going gets tough….(you know the rest)
Anything worth going for is going to be hard work, nothing great comes easy. Mentally tough people are at their best when the going gets tough, so don’t give up.

Energetic and Ready For Action
Mentally tough people get themselves fired up and ready to go for the workout. Whether you workout in the morning or evening always be ready to train.

Conclusion

The great thing about mental toughness is that you are not born with it. Mental toughness comes simply from the decision to consistently apply the simple traits. Without mental toughness you will not reach your full potential
