Kim Murphy is the core of House of Health and Fitness.
I hope to create fun and effective group and one-on-one training sessions with my bubbly personality and fitness and nutrition knowledge. My aim is to become the “go-to” trainer for personal training and group fitness in Chelsea!
My passion comes from my own health journey and the benefits I enjoy from leading a healthy and fit lifestyle. I started participating in outdoor group fitness classes after the birth of my son, when I felt drained of energy and simply unfit!
What started out as two sessions per week quickly turned into three. My headspace started to change and I loved the physical and mental changes that were quickly taking place. My energy levels improved and I found day-to-day tasks with two young children became easier!
During the following months, I realised the huge change in my energy levels and eating habits, and my body was loving the training. I then decided that I wanted to get my qualifications and start coaching other people on their journey!
I love my life and my job. Every time I train either someone one-on-one or in a group I realise how lucky I am to be able to do this. I am convinced that everyone has it in them to start their journey to a healthier and fitter life and I am very passionate to be able to be part of that by guiding, supporting, motivating and coaching each and every client.
Outdoor group sessions
House of Health and Fitness’s outdoor group sessions are at Edithvale Recreational Reserve on Edithvale Road. If the weather is poor, we train in the Edithvale Primary School hall on Edithvale Road. On Monday and Wednesday mornings, groups are also trained in Carrum Downs in the multi-purpose school hall of Banyan Field Primary School at 90 Cadles Road, Carrum Downs. I can also cater to come to a client’s home for a personal training session.
